Skyline Products Celebrates LED DMS 20 Year Anniversary
First LED DMS Installed in the State of Oregon
Colorado Springs, Colo., September 2, 2014 – Skyline Products announced today that November 2014 is the 20th anniversary of the company’s first LED Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) installation. The first ever Skyline Products LED DMS were installed in Oregon and are still in use today.
Since opening its doors in 1970, Skyline Products’ signs have become an integral part of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure, safely notifying motorists of critical advisories. Skyline Products LED DMS feature pure amber AlInGaP LEDs for uniform color and brightness, fully welded aluminum sign housing designed to AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural Supports, and 0-10 degree mounting brackets for flexible installations. Additionally Skyline Products industry exclusive True Message Legibility Verification feature allows the operator to see exactly what is visibly displayed to the motorist on an individual pixel basis, including any errors.
